

Dr. Andrews is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. Being one of two boys, he was active in sports and played baseball throughout high school. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was voted “most hard working” by his classmates as a senior. After graduating from high school in 1996, Lee attended the University of South Carolina majoring in Biology. While at USC, he was awarded four scholarships: T. L. McMeekin Biology Scholarship, South Carolina Life Scholarship, University Scholars Scholarship and the Alumni Legacy Scholars Scholarship. In addition, he was a very active member of his fraternity, Sigma Nu, holding offices of Pledge Class President, Secretary as well as Chaplain. While in college, Dr. Andrews met Dr. Rogers’ daughter Alison in a biology class during his sophomore year.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000, Dr. Andrews moved to Charleston, South Carolina to begin dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Andrews and Alison were married after his first year of dental school. While in dental school, he participated in the American Student Dental Association as well as his dental fraternity, Psi Omega, where he served as president and received the Fraternal Achievement Award. He was vice-president of his dental class from 2002 – 2004. Dr. Andrews was also selected to serve as a teaching assistant in gross and neuroanatomy. In addition, he had the accomplishment of scoring 96 on part one of the National Dental Boards. After graduating from dental school in 2004, Dr. Andrews began his orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Georgia, and received his certificate in orthodontics in December 2006.
Today, Dr. Andrews and Alison have two daughters, Katie and Lauren. Dr. Andrews enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, playing golf, and watching college football. He is an avid supporter of the Carolina Gamecocks since he grew up in Columbia, and he and Alison went to school at Carolina. His father and uncle also played football for Carolina.
In December 2006, Dr. Andrews joined our practice as a partner after 10 ½ years of education beyond high school creating the team of Rogers and Andrews Orthodontics. Dr. Rogers and Dr. Andrews work as a team treatment planning each patient. Together they have combined years of experience with up-to-date technology.
