
Michael B. Rogers, D.D.S. graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry and served as a Captain and general dentist in the U.S. Army Dental Corps for two years before returning to the Medical College of Georgia to specialize in orthodontics.
After receiving his orthodontic degree, he set-up his practice in his hometown, Augusta. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received the Army Commendation Medal. Dr. Rogers continues to attend education seminars to further his training and has been on the orthodontic faculty at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry since his graduation.
Dr. Rogers is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an Honorable Fellow of the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Rogers has lectured to thousands of orthodontists and their staffs and many other groups on orthodontics, early treatment, TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction), practice management, and most recently the Banded Herbst Appliance that he has pioneered for several years.
He has served as President of the Georgia Dental Association, Speaker of the House of the American Association of Orthodontists, President of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, President of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, Speaker of the House of the Georgia Dental Association, President of the Augusta Dental Society, President of the Eastern District Dental Society, Delegate to the American Association of Orthodontists, and Delegate to the American Dental Association. He is currently a Trustee to the American Association of Orthodontists and is slated to become President of the over 14,000 member American Association of Orthodontists in 2011.
He has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Rogers is married to Beth; they have four children (Bruce, Kay, Alison and Lisa). In his spare time, Dr. Rogers enjoys playing golf, jogging, traveling with his family, and working with his dental board activities.
